
Case History – Cinquanta3
Cinquanta3 System. This is the concept we started with for designing the new corporate communication. Cinquanta3 decided to integrate the different products into a system, a design choice that is new compared to the past: previously, the products were freestanding and the collections were divided by style. This innovation required the development of a renewed graphic language, entrusted to our studio. We needed to provide the sales network with intuitive tools for training and presenting the product. The design of the language led to the creation of the new catalogs “Home Spaces” and “Public Spaces” 2022, as well as the design of the new institutional website.
For the new catalogs, Cinquanta3 expressed the desire to give equal importance to both the “home” and “office” worlds. Both private and shared spaces, in fact, can be designed as unique entities thanks to the new system: we imagined the different product categories as “boxes” that can intersect with one another, creating new customized compositions. Inside each box-category (wardrobes, cabinets, paneling, bookshelves, etc.), there are different elements, with which it’s possible to design compositions for various home environments: entrance, living room, bedroom, etc. The same elements can be used to design compositions for public spaces: offices, hotels, commercial environments.
Starting from the new system, we designed a graphic language based on the target audience and the corporate image of Cinquanta3. The use of color was crucial in creating the new corporate communication: we replaced the gray tones used previously with yellow (Pantone 7563 C) for the “Home” world and green (Pantone 7771 C) for the “Public” world. A bold color choice that emphasizes the new style of the communication. The graphic architecture of the different tools is unified by the concept of simplification: the idea behind it is to make it easy and quick to find information during the sales process.
