Places 2019 catalogue
We designed Imperial Line’s Places 2019 catalogue as part of a total restyling of the company’s communication: in fact, this is the first catalogue produced during the collaboration with Imperial Line.
Since the concept of “space” remains the idea behind the new communication project, in Places 2019 we conceived the environment as a medium to enhance the product; in fact, we drafted a large exhibition space, an architecture composed of bleached bricks with a lived-in look, where the interior is dominated by the minimalism of concrete.
A volume designed mainly as a photographic set to enhance the products even more; Imperial Line collections interpret in a contemporary way the search for balance between design and functionality. In photographs, we have chosen radical perspectives in order to extend the relationship between product and architecture: the space intervenes in the presentation process and therefore affects the function of the product itself.
Places 19 is the maximum expression of the innovative language of Imperial Line, and that is evident in the cover: if you leaf through it, you can see the essence of the paper, a soiled Gmund Heidi paper with an exceptionally high thickness (530 g/m2) and a marble effect.
The textual contents are reduced to a minimum: the logo, the title and the year of publication. With regard to the title, we design the distinctive sign of the partial underlining, which also recurs in the other works developed for the company.
